Wayside Holiday Park near Pickering has been sold via a company sale following more than five decades of ownership by the same family for an undisclosed sum.
The five-star rated luxury caravan park in North Yorkshire was marketed by the specialist parks team at Colliers.
The site spans 19.5 acres and comprises 160 pitches. It is located on the outskirts of Wrelton, near the North York Moors National Park and the Yorkshire coastline.
The sale includes a three-bedroom detached bungalow and an additional three-acre paddock for potential expansion. It also features Water Gardens, a lakeside development completed in 2023.
Three generations of the same family have operated the business since it opened more than 50 years ago.
The transaction was overseen by the UK parks agency at Colliers. The firm stated the park represents a well-located asset with high occupancy and modern infrastructure.
Mark Goodson from Wayside said: “After more than 50 years of our family pouring our hearts into Wayside, this was not an easy decision. We are proud of what we have built across three generations and take great comfort in knowing the park is passing to new hands who will continue to invest in and grow this special place.”
