Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo has announced the appointment of Guillaume Ranvier as general manager, succeeding Louis Starck who became general manager of Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo in September 2025.
Ranvier joins the property from the Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris, where he was hotel manager. He will now lead the Monaco hotel as it begins a phase of renovation and operational change.
The new general manager graduated from the Ecole Superieure de Cuisine Francaise in Paris before spending more than 10 years with Hyatt Hotels. Ranvier held various leadership roles at Park Hyatt Paris – Vendome, including director of food and beverage, director of rooms, and director of operations.
Ranvier later moved to Doha to support the opening of a Park Hyatt property in the Middle East. Following the pandemic, he returned to France as hotel manager of the Hotel Martinez in Cannes, where he managed a major operational reorganisation.
In 2022, Ranvier served as general manager of the Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Mediterranee. During his tenure, he led the renovation of the hotel restaurant and oversaw record revenues for the property.
Since 2023, Ranvier has been hotel manager at the Four Seasons Hotel George V. His career has focused on service standards and team development, which the hotel stated would support its continued growth.
Established in 1928, Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo features a Belle Epoque facade and a glass dome designed by Gustave Eiffel. The property is known for its associations with 20th Century figures including Francis Bacon and Maria Callas.
The hotel is currently undergoing an evolution of its facilities. It is scheduled to reveal new suites in June, alongside a new lobby bar, Bar Gustave, located beneath the Eiffel dome in the Winter Garden.
Ranvier said: “I am deeply honoured to be entrusted with the leadership of Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, a true House of Connoisseurs. I am proud to follow in the footsteps of those who have shaped the reputation of this Monegasque landmark, alongside passionate teams who are profoundly connected to its history.
“Our ambition is to open a new chapter for the hotel – one that looks firmly to the future through thoughtful renovation, highly personalised service, and above all, the women and men who bring an extra soul to every stay, creating an experience that is authentic, elegant and truly memorable.”

The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
