Splendid Hospitality Group has completed a room extension at Hilton London Bankside to add two penthouses to the property.
The expansion increases room capacity at the hotel, which employs more than 200 people. The company stated the investment reflects its view that hospitality supports business travel, international tourism and city centre investment.
The group has added 500 rooms to its portfolio since the pandemic, with a further 500 rooms scheduled to open over the next three to five years.
The bankside hotel is located near Tate Modern and Borough Market. The property holds a Global Sustainable Tourism Council accreditation certificate for sustainability.
The project forms part of a wider investment programme by the company, which owns and operates its hotels directly. The business expects to announce further expansions across its hospitality, care and mixed-use developments in the coming months.
Executive chairman Nadeem Boghani said: “In a market defined by rising costs and shifting consumer expectations, we believe being a safe pair of hands matters more than ever. Our focus is on long-term partnership, owning our assets, operating them well and reinvesting over time.
