Hampshire-based Lime Wood luxury hotel has unveiled a redesigned gym at its Herb House spa, incorporating advanced equipment to enhance its wellness offering for guests and members. 

The project focused on transitioning the facility from a traditional hotel gym into a “high-performance” space integrated with its forest surroundings.

The refurbishment includes the installation of new Technogym equipment that provides real-time performance feedback and digital coaching. 

The space has been configured to overlook the hotel’s herb roof and the New Forest, maintaining the site’s focus on restorative exercise environments.

New technology includes a strength-training system that adapts load and range of motion to individual users and a cardio system inspired by stair climbing. 

The hotel has also introduced indoor cycling equipment designed to replicate road cycling dynamics through terrain simulation and responsive gear changes.

The investment follows a broader strategy at the property to align physical fitness with its existing spa and nature-based therapies. 

The hotel stated the redesign aims to provide a more “intuitive” training experience while supporting measurable health outcomes.

Each element has been carefully considered to feel inspiring, effective and restorative, while still offering a genuine sense of calm. That balance is what makes the space so compelling.”
