Hyatt has announced the appointment of Adam Rohman as its new head of Americas, effective from 1 July. He will succeed Pete Sears, who is retiring following a career of nearly 40 years with the company.
The transition will see Rohman oversee operations across the Americas region. His remit includes hotels within the classics, essentials and luxury portfolios, alongside global brand strategy for the classics and essentials brands.
Rohman currently serves as senior vice president of investor relations, global financial planning and analysis, as well as treasurer. He has spent more than two decades at the firm, beginning in property finance roles before moving into operational leadership.
His previous positions include senior vice president of finance for the Americas and global head of asset management.
Sears will remain with the group as a senior advisor for a period following 30 June to assist with the transition.
The company has confirmed the start of a search for a successor to fill Rohman’s current role.
