International hotel owner, operator, and investor Minor Hotels has launched the Colbert Collection, a global soft brand designed to integrate independent premium hotels into its commercial and operational network while preserving their individuality.
The brand draws its name and thematic inspiration from the Colbert bistro in London, operated by The Wolseley Hospitality Group, a subsidiary of Minor International (MINT).
Positioned in the premium segment, the collection is intended for independent hotel owners who wish to maintain their property’s local identity while utilising Minor Hotels’ global distribution systems, revenue management technology, and loyalty programmes.
According to the group, the brand’s identity focuses on “culinary and creative curation”, influenced by European café culture.
The launch aligns with Minor Hotels’ asset-right growth strategy, which prioritises asset-light expansion through management and franchise contracts.
The model allows for greater scalability and profitability by providing small and mid-sized hotel owners with conversion solutions.
Minor Hotels currently operates a portfolio of over 640 properties across brands including Anantara, Avani, and NH Collection.
It said the brand is built around three operational pillars: the art of gathering, art of place, and art of taste. Minor Hotels stated that these pillars dictate the guest experience, focusing on shared cultural encounters and destination-specific culinary traditions.
Minor Hotels intends to debut the collection in Italy in spring 2026, with subsequent properties planned for the UK, Spain, Austria, and the UAE.
Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels, said: “Colbert Collection represents a chapter for Minor Hotels. This brand captures opportunities in the market, enabling us to meet the needs of travellers and owners.
“It celebrates individuality and invites guests to discover hotels rooted in their own worlds while connected by a common sensibility. With the Colbert Collection, each property is free to express its own story, while supported by our global commercial powerhouse and operational expertise.”

The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
