South Korean hospitality group Sono International has announced it will acquire Cross Hotels and Resorts, marking a change of ownership for one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing brands.
Parent company Flight Centre Travel Group has agreed to sell the Bangkok-based operator to Sono International, which runs a range of hotels and resorts across South Korea.
The acquisition brings together two hospitality groups with complementary strengths – Cross Hotels and Resorts’ focus on lifestyle, wellness and luxury accommodation, and Sono’s experience in the regional travel market.
Cross currently manages 28 hotels across Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Japan, and has further expansion planned.

Cross will continue to operate from its Bangkok headquarters, managing existing properties and new developments.
