The Grange Hotel in Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria, has reopened following a multi-million-pound refurbishment that has transformed its interiors while preserving the building’s historic façade.
Located opposite Grange-over-Sands railway station, the hotel shares its Italianate style and materials with the station building, both designed by architect E.G. Paley for the Furness Railway Company.
The renovated property now offers 56 bedrooms, including family and dog-friendly rooms, as well as two penthouse suites.
The Sable D’Or suite features a roll-top bathtub and private balcony, while Clair de Lune offers woodland views from its own balcony.
Communal areas have also been remodelled, with private rooms available for weddings, conferences and events of up to 200 guests.
Additionally, wellness facilities include a pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and spa treatment rooms, accessible to hotel guests, day visitors and members.
Sam Gombos, general manager, said: “We are incredibly proud to unveil the results of this extensive refurbishment. Our vision was to respect the hotel’s Edwardian heritage while creating a destination that feels both timeless and future-facing.”
