Lythe Hill Hotel and Spa near Haslemere has been brought to market with a guide price of £8.25m.
The sale of the Grade II-listed property is being marketed on behalf of joint administrators Glen Carter and Damian Webb of RSM UK Restructuring Advisory, who were appointed earlier in March after the hotel entered administration.
The 60-bedroom hotel sits within 19.1 acres of landscaped grounds in the Surrey countryside and includes a lake and a private helicopter pad. It features a restaurant, bar and lounge, pizzeria, three function suites, and an extensive spa and leisure complex.
Planning permission has been granted for an additional 36 bedrooms and an extension to the spa. There is also potential, subject to planning, to develop Lythe Hill Farm, a three-bedroom bungalow on a separate 2.66-acre plot.
Carter said the administrators had “taken proactive steps to stabilise operations” and that the hotel was trading successfully with an “established reputation” in the wedding, leisure and corporate sectors.
Ed Bellfield, regional director at Christie and Co, said: “This is a unique opportunity to acquire a well-known trading hotel and spa business in the Surrey countryside, with the potential to increase future income.”
