The Chickpea Group has announced that it is set to open The Fleur de Lys Inn, the company’s eight pub with rooms and its first in Dorset.
The Fleur de Lys Inn dates back to the 17th Century and is situated in the village of Cranborne. It is set to reopen in July this year.
The pub has been closed for the last six months as it undergoes renovations which will result in a refreshed exterior and nine bedrooms.
The inside will have around 80 covers for drinks and dining, including a private dining room which can accommodate up to 12 guests, with a further 100 covers outside.
Chickpea stated that the food offering will be of great importance. It is set to continue to work with local suppliers in the South West and Dorset. The wine list will be provided by Gardner and Beedle, plus beers and ales from Rude Giant and other local breweries in the Dorset area.
Ethan Davids, co-founder, said: “We are so excited to be opening our first pub with rooms in Dorset. The Fleur de Lys is a lovely boozer in a pretty and thriving village and we’re very pleased to be re-opening it for the community and for visitors from further afield. It offers everything we look for in a Chickpea country pub- exposed beams, low ceilings, a number of fireplaces and quintessentially British charm.”
