Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park has promoted Kremi McCabe to the role of deputy general manager. McCabe, who has a “wealth” of experience in luxury hospitality, will now oversee the hotel’s daily operations and “ensure that the brand’s renowned standards of excellence are consistently maintained”.
Her promotion comes after her tenure as hotel manager, during which she played a “pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining operational excellence”.
McCabe first joined Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park as director of operations, where she was responsible for the Rooms Division, Security, and Health and Safety. She was later promoted to hotel manager in June 2022.
Before her time at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, McCabe held significant roles with the Jumeirah Group in Dubai, including hotel manager at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, where she led a team of 1,300 staff through an “extensive” refurbishment of the hotel’s 619 rooms and suites.
In addition, she previously spent 16 years with the Dorchester Collection in a variety of roles across Reservations, Sales, and Revenue Management. She was also part of the pre-opening team at The Lanesborough, where she served as director of rooms.
Torsten van Dullemen, general manager, area vice president and group director of Sustainability, said: “We are thrilled to promote Kremi to deputy general manager.
