Wyndham expands EMEA footprint with 60 new hotels

Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has expanded its presence across Europe, the Middle East, Eurasia and Africa (EMEA) with the opening of more than 60 hotels in the first half of 2025, taking its regional portfolio to more than 720 hotels.

The company, which added more than 4,700 rooms and delivered 5% year-on-year organic growth in EMEA, also signed 27 new deals in the region, with a focus on high-growth markets.

Openings included the Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa, Monasteri Golf and Spa in Sicily, and the Signature Cave Cappadocia, part of Wyndham’s Trademark Collection, in Türkiye. The group also launched new hotels in Georgia, Romania and Kazakhstan, while strengthening its position in India with 21 new openings, bringing its Eurasia portfolio to more than 90.

Dimitris Manikis, president for EMEA at Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, said: “With more than 720 hotels now open across EMEA, we’re seeing incredible momentum. Travel is thriving and we’re meeting that demand with a growing portfolio that reflects the energy and diversity of this region.

“From stunning resorts in Sicily to one-of-a-kind cave stays in Cappadocia, we’re adding experiences that truly inspire. And with new signings in markets like Iberia and Saudi Arabia, we’re not just growing – we’re creating new opportunities for our partners and giving travellers even more great places to stay across the region.”

The expansion included the introduction of the Super 8 brand to Saudi Arabia and Iberia, after Wyndham agreed deals to develop 100 hotels in Saudi Arabia and 40 across Spain and Portugal over the next decade.

Globally, Wyndham reported 4% organic room growth year-on-year and a record pipeline of 255,000 rooms – the company’s 20th consecutive quarter of sequential pipeline growth. Its EMEA division also posted constant currency RevPAR growth of 7% in the first half of the year.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
