The Cricklade House Hotel and Spa in Wiltshire has been placed on the market with a guide price of £3.5m.
The property has been put up for sale by its largest shareholder, the Purico Group, who acquired the site back in 2018 and have since invested over £1.5m on its facilities.
Situated to the west of Cricklade, the luxury hotel and spa currently offers 45 en suite guest bedrooms in the main hotel and courtyard rooms. It also features the full-service Fritillary Spa, which includes a heated indoor swimming pool, spa bath, sauna, steam room and five treatment rooms. Further leisure facilities include external tennis and Pétanque courts, nine-hole foot golf and 18-hole disc golf course.
Cricklade House is also home to a popular restaurant, al-fresco dining terrace, and Terrace Bar. There are two extensive function facilities, including a dedicated event space for up to 120 guests, which can cater for weddings, corporate functions, and private events and is joined by a large on-site car park.
Steve Young, chief executive of Purico Group, said: “We are incredibly proud of the achievements we have made at the hotel over the last year or so. We have improved the physical structure, upgraded the bedrooms, improved customer satisfaction rating, and are outperforming our peers locally. As such, after around eight years of ownership, it is time for us to pass on the hotel to new owners and for us to re-invest in other projects, as we leave the hotel in the best shape it has been for decades.”
