The Waterside Hotel has opened a £3m spa and restaurant development at its West Kilbride site following a major investment programme by operator SimpsInns.
The expansion at the Ayrshire coastal venue includes six treatment rooms, a four-person Rasul experience, and an indoor thermal area featuring a steam room.
An outdoor spa garden provides direct beach access and includes a hydro pool, a sauna, and experience showers with views across to Ailsa Craig.
The project also involved the refurbishment of the hotel restaurant, now named Dunes Restaurant and Bar, which features a menu developed by group executive chef Ewan McAllister.
This development follows the recent addition of 17 guest bedrooms in October, bringing the total capacity of the hotel to 40 rooms.
The new accommodation includes the Kilmory Suite, which features a private balcony and hot tub, alongside 16 other rooms with private patios or Juliette balconies.
The Kyle Suite wedding venue at the site also underwent a refurbishment at the end of 2025 as part of the wider regional investment.
