Switch Management, the Birmingham-based asset management company, has acquired the Queens Hotel and Spa in Bournemouth for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition is expected to secure the long-term future of the East Cliff property and its 68 employees after the hotel entered administration in March 2024.
The 109-room hotel features an indoor swimming pool, spa and wellness centre, gardens and an on-site restaurant and bar. It also serves as an events venue, offering indoor and outdoor spaces for up to 200 guests.
Switch currently manages several hospitality sites across the Midlands, including the Park Regis Birmingham, aparthotel Birmingham and serviced apartments at St Martin’s Place.
Managing director John Angus said the purchase marked “an important investment” for the company as it looked to expand in prime UK locations.
Angus said: “As our first hotel acquisition, Queens Hotel and Spa represents an important investment for the business as we continue to expand and diversify our service offering.Marking a fresh chapter in the hotel’s history, we’re proud to build a positive future for the property and its employees.

The hotel will undergo a programme of short and long-term redevelopment to align it with Switch’s existing hospitality portfolio, with a focus on weddings and corporate events.
