St Pancras London joins Autograph Collection Hotels

The St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in King’s Cross has rebranded as part of Autograph Collection Hotels today (3 June 2025), joining a global portfolio of over 300 independent hotels.

Now known as St Pancras London, the rebrand introduces a new guest experience shaped by the hotel’s 150-year history. It will also see the London hotel undergo an extensive refurbishment to its 245 rooms and suites spread across both Barlow House and the Chambers Suites.

First opened in 1873 as the Midland Grand Hotel and designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott, the Grade I-listed landmark has stood as one of “London’s most iconic buildings”.

St Pancras London is known for its red-brick façade, spires, gold-leaf ceilings and hand-stencilled walls. Its 245 rooms and suites blend original features, arched windows and lofty ceilings with layered textures and bespoke design.

Booking Office 1869, once the station’s ticket hall, serves seasonal menus and live music beneath a soaring iron-and-glass canopy. Next door, The Hansom – named after the cabs that once lined the forecourt – offers a lounge for afternoon teas, Champagne toasts and informal meetings.

Ed White, general manager, St Pancras London, said: “This rebrand brings fresh meaning to every part of the guest journey,” said. “It allows us to honour the building’s legacy while offering something personal, thoughtful and designed to stay with guests long after they leave.”

Sandra Schulze-Potgieter, VP, Premium and Select Brands, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Marriott International, added: “St Pancras London is exactly the kind of property Autograph Collection was created to celebrate – rich in character, rooted in place, and full of story. This new chapter brings that story to life in a way that feels both intentional and unforgettable.”

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
