This development aligns with Scandic’s broader strategy to increase its room capacity by approximately 15,000 by the end of 2030, focusing on key destinations in Germany.
The project is a collaboration with B&L Group, which will construct the hotel. Scandic will operate the hotel, catering to both business and leisure travelers. This new location will complement Scandic’s existing presence in Hamburg, which includes the Scandic Emporio and a planned 430-room hotel near the Berliner Tor station, expected to open in 2030.
Hamburg, Germany’s second-largest city with a population of 2 million, is a significant hub for international trade, logistics, and culture.
