Rivella Group has announced its plans to open Hotel Fermata, a new 35-room beachfront hotel, in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. The hotel is scheduled to begin operations in December 2025. The location is strategically positioned in front of the La Lora surf break, a notable spot in the area.
Hotel Fermata will become part of Rivella Group’s growing portfolio, which currently includes Outpost Nosara, Sendero Hotel, and Sendero Villas. The new property will feature a variety of accommodations, including rooms, casitas, suites, and a two-bedroom villa. These spaces are designed to accommodate various types of guests, including couples, friends, and families.
The hotel will offer several amenities, including an oceanfront restaurant called Fermata Kitchen, led by Chef Olivier Palazzo. The restaurant will focus on Mediterranean flavors combined with French techniques. Additional amenities include a members-only Beach House for the surf community, a surf school with direct beach access, a wellness spa, a resort-style pool, and a children’s activity program.
Hotel Fermata is being constructed with eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient systems to minimize environmental impact.
The hotel is set to open on December 22, 2025, and is currently accepting bookings.
