RedCat Hospitality, operator of the Coaching Inn Group and RedCat Independent Pubs, has acquired The Warwick Arms Hotel, Warwick, for an undisclosed sum.
The 40-room hotel offers a variety of room types, meeting and event spaces, and even has claims of being Warwick’s oldest hotel.
The purchase is the group’s first acquisition since August 2022 and marks a return to the acquisition trail for RedCat Hospitality, as the business delivers against its strategy of expanding the Coaching Inn Group.
This acquisition and refurbishment are part of a broader capital investment programme underway across the RedCat Hospitality business which is made up of both Coaching Inn Group and RedCat Independent Pubs.
Richard Lewis, RedCat Hospitality CEO, said: “We’re really excited about this one. The Warwick Arms Hotel marks the start of our exciting expansion plans for the group. We plan to invest over £1m into a refurbishment to bring out the best in the building and give guests the kind of experience they’ve come to expect from our coaching inns.”
Adam Charity, Coaching Inn Group COO, added: “For nearly 30 years, we have built a reputation of bringing old inns back to life in some of the UK’s greatest locations – the Warwick Arms Hotel ticks every box. We are delighted to welcome the site and its team into the wider Coaching Inn Group family.”
The Coaching Inn Group was acquired by Redcat in 2021 with a focus on delivering “high quality accommodation, drinks, food, and exceptional hospitality for both visitors and local communities”.
