Radisson has officially debuted Radisson Red Auckland in the city’s Arts District, marking the group’s first entry into the New Zealand hospitality market.
The hotel, located at 33 Lorne Street, includes 322 guest rooms and suites alongside what is described as the largest rooftop space in the country.
The property is situated within the Central Business District, providing access to the Art Gallery, Civic Theatre, and Sky Tower. It is one of few hotels in the city to permit pets.
Facilities at the site include a fitness centre and a rooftop bar capable of hosting 219 guests. The event space can be divided into four rooms for corporate or social functions.
Guest rooms feature design elements inspired by the local gallery scene and performance arts. Higher floors provide views of Albert Park and the Auckland harbour.
Tim Cordon, chief operating officer for MEA and SEAP at Radisson Hotel Group, said: “Radisson Red thrives in cities fueled by creativity, culture, and community, and Auckland captures that spirit perfectly. This opening marks a major milestone for our growth in Australasia and a proud moment for our upper-upscale Radisson Red brand, which brings a playful twist to the conventional.
“As Radisson Hotel Group’s debut in New Zealand and the first Radisson Red in the region, we can’t wait for everyone to see Auckland in Red and experience a hotel bursting with energy, design, and unforgettable moments.”
