Radisson Blu London secures Silver Green Tourism Accreditation

Radisson Blu London has announced that all nine of its hotels have collectively achieved the Silver Green Tourism Accreditation, one of the UK’s most respected sustainability certification programmes.

The certification recognises strong performances in environmental practices, ethical operations, and community engagement across the portfolio.

The Green Tourism Accreditation assesses businesses against “comprehensive” criteria, and the Silver status recognises Radisson Blu London hotels’ sustainable practices in areas such as energy efficiency, waste reduction, and community engagement.

Alongside this accreditation, all nine hotels have also signed the Sustainable London Pledge, a citywide initiative encouraging responsible tourism and environmental stewardship.

Highlights of the group’s sustainability initiatives include:

  • Partnering with DripDrop to plant one tree for every 10 guest stays.
  • Prioritising local, ethical sourcing and eco-certified products.
  • Targeting a 10% energy reduction by 2027 and 100% renewable electricity by 2030.
  • Phasing out single-use plastics and aiming for zero landfill waste by 2026.
  • Installing water-saving fixtures, exploring greywater reuse, and sharing carbon footprint data with guests.
  • Partnering with DripDrop to plant one tree for every 10 guest stays.
  • Supporting green travel with EV charging and cycle-to-work schemes.

Radisson Blu London said it is equally committed to social responsibility, and all team members undergo sustainability training, with the hotels actively supporting local causes through volunteering, fundraising, and community engagement initiatives. Guest wellbeing is also prioritised, with support platforms and inclusive facilities available across the portfolio.

Managed by Axiom Hospitality, Radisson Blu London also supports the wider Radisson Hotel Group goal of achieving net zero by 2050, with science-based targets guiding its long-term strategy.

Vasilina Vergilova, the sustainability lead across the portfolio, said: “This Silver Green Tourism Accreditation is a proud achievement for all nine of our London hotels. It reflects the dedication and teamwork across our properties to ensure we are not only meeting high standards but actively working to shape a more sustainable future for hospitality in the capital.”

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
