The Radisson Hotel Group and Manchester City have unveiled the branding and interior designs for The Medlock, a new hotel situated on the Etihad Campus.
The 401-room property, which includes a two-storey penthouse suite, is now accepting bookings for stays commencing later this year.
The hotel is part of a broader development at the site that will eventually include a museum and several restaurants. Named after the river that runs beneath the campus, the hotel’s design incorporates elements of the city’s industrial heritage and has unique Mancunian touches throughout.
The Medlock will be operated by Valor Hospitality. Facilities include a brasserie, a café and wine bar, and a fitness studio equipped with virtual personal training technology for guests in deluxe rooms and suites.
The property also features Pitch View meeting rooms designed for corporate events and team sessions.
The hotel is positioned to serve visitors to the Etihad Stadium, Joie Stadium, and the Co-op Live arena. The development is intended to function as a flagship property within the club’s entertainment destination.
Richard Pearson, general manager of The Medlock, said: “Today marks a key milestone as we unveil The Medlock’s brand and full look and feel. Inspired by our location, the identity celebrates the character, energy and spirit of the place we call home: Manchester. With bookings officially open, it’s an exciting step as we move closer to opening later this year.”
