Each year, HFTP recognizes an individual who has made a lasting impact on the association and industry with the HFTP Paragon Award. This award recognizes individuals who have made a significant and lasting contribution to both HFTP and the hospitality industry. It will be presented at the HFTP 2025 Annual Convention, taking place October 22-24 at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Fla. Do you know someone whose accomplishments should be celebrated? You are invited to nominate a deserving individual by August 18. Submit your nomination via the nomination form.

The 2024 Paragon Award winner, Robert Mandelbaum stated, “It is so special to receive this recognition from the volunteer leaders and professional staff at HFTP. I know how much time and effort they put into HFTP, so I am flattered that they recognize my contributions to the association. I am humbled when I look at the list of past winners of the HFTP Paragon award.

I have always felt so comfortable and welcome at HFTP and being active in the association has enabled me to establish relationships with global leaders in the field of hospitality finance, which has provided great benefit to me professionally. Plus, where else can I be with a group of people who share the same passion for P&L statements as I do?”

Paragon Award nominees can be HFTP members; representatives of industry-related associations, societies, or trade publications; or leaders from hospitality businesses, educational institutions, and other related disciplines. A panel of industry experts will select the award winner.

Recent winners include:

  • Robert Mandelbaum (2024)
  • Geneva Rinehart (2023)
  • Daniel N. Conti, Jr., CHAE+ (2022)
  • Tanya Venegas, MBA, MHM, CHIA (2021)
  • Sanjay Nadkarni, Ph.D. (2021)
  • Ian Millar, CHTP (2020)

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
