Moddershall Oaks is marking its 25th anniversary with plans to invest £4m in further development during 2026, as the Staffordshire-based spa and wellness retreat continues to expand its operations.
The business, which began as a family-owned operation, is located on a 72-acre site comprising woodland and lakes.
Over time, it has expanded its offer to include spa facilities, accommodation, wellness treatments, fitness programmes, retreats and events.
Moddershall Oaks said it now welcomes more than 100,000 guests each year and employs more than 140 people. It operates as an independent business within the regional visitor economy.
In the past five years, the business has invested more than £3m in its facilities. The planned £4m investment next year is expected to fund additional accommodation, new wellness services and infrastructure upgrades.
The investment programme is also intended to support future operations and respond to continued demand for wellness and nature-based tourism.
Additionally, as part of its anniversary year, Moddershall Oaks has announced the introduction of Woodland Pods, a new accommodation option located within the estate’s woodland.
The development forms part of a longer-term programme that also includes additional retreat spaces and changes to existing facilities.
Penny Weston, director of Moddershall Oaks, said: “Reaching this 25-year milestone is incredibly meaningful for us as a family and for the whole team we’ve become. We’ve faced challenges, including the floods earlier this year, but those moments have only strengthened our commitment to our community and our purpose.”
