The Landmark London has been awarded the EarthCheck Silver Benchmark 2025 in recognition of its efforts to improve environmental performance and adopt more sustainable practices.
The five-star hotel received the certification following a range of initiatives, including a complete switch to renewable electricity and a reported reduction of 615,000 kWh in annual energy use.
Smart in-room thermostats have helped cut electricity consumption by 31% per room, and the hotel now sends no waste to landfill.
Meanwhile, refillable toiletries, biodegradable coffee capsules and recycled water bottles have been introduced to reduce single-use plastics.
Across departments, operations have also shifted to paperless systems and low-impact alternatives, including eco-friendly laundry, upcycled materials and responsibly sourced food and drink.
Additionally, the hotel’s sustainability efforts are coordinated by a dedicated taskforce and EarthCheck coordinator, with the hotel subject to annual benchmarking assessments to monitor progress.
