IHG has revealed it will open the new Hotel Indigo London K West Shepherd’s Bush in 2026, in a move it said will mark “the arrival of one of West London’s most anticipated new lifestyle hotels”.
The hotel will contain 231 rooms and suites, including generously sized ‘Signature Suites’ and ‘Garden Rooms’ that give guests access to outdoor space. It said its interiors have been designed to feel “relaxed yet refined”, based on lines, warm colours and layered materials.
The building, formerly the BBC’s Kensington House recording studios, has been renovated to become “a design-led destination” using recycled and reused materials.
Its food and drink offerings include its all-day restaurant Flock, which will be constructed in an open-kitchen design around a statement pizza oven and headed by Chef Sami Saygi.
Later in 2026, the hotel will also open the K West Spa, which will include a thermal suite, two spa gardens, two dedicated couples suites, six treatment rooms, a full gym and relaxation spaces. The hotel said the spa will operate on “a holistic, nature-inspired philosophy” and use products from vegan wellness brand Ground Wellbeing.
It additionally revealed partnerships with West London breweries, distilleries and producers to fuel a “distinctly local” food and drink experience. It added it will platform local artistry and history by displaying works curated by ArtStory, such as pieces by surrealist Helga Stentzel and sculptor Helena Lacy.
The hotel confirmed it will merge “business with lifestyle” by providing co-working spaces suited for contemporary work culture and creative collaboration, as well as hosting talks, cultural events and community-led gatherings.
General manager Nicolas Braud said: “The opening of Hotel Indigo London K West Shepherd’s Bush marks the beginning of a new chapter for one of West London’s most storied buildings.
“We’ve been inspired by the neighbourhood’s rich creative and musical heritage, and our aim is to create a hotel that feels deeply rooted in its surroundings while offering a contemporary, design-led experience for both visitors and the local community. This is about honouring the past while setting a new benchmark for lifestyle hospitality in the area.”
