The Tankerville Arms Hotel in Wooler, located at the edge of the Northumberland National Park, is due to head to public auction with a starting price of £410k, following a reduction from £550k.
News comes after the 18th Century hotel was originally brought to market for £750k last year, following more than 40 years of ownership by the same family.
Located on the A697, the stone-built premises covers more than 10,000 square feet and includes 17 guest rooms.
The hotel also features a reception area, a bar with an open fire, and a 40-seat restaurant. A separate function room, the Cheviot Room, provides additional capacity for 40 guests.
The ground floor contains a commercial kitchen, office, laundry facilities, and a former public bar. Most guest accommodation is located on the first floor, with all but one room featuring ensuite facilities.
The second floor houses a staff flat and an additional bedroom. External features include a rear car park and a beer garden with a lawn and a children’s play area.
