Hilton Birmingham at UAB has announced the completion of a multi-million-dollar renovation project. The renovation includes updates to all 295 guestrooms, 16,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and the addition of a new fitness center and restaurant. The property is located on the campus of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).
The renovation project was led by CCR Architecture & Interiors with construction by P&M Construction. The updates to the guestrooms feature modern furnishings aimed at enhancing comfort for guests. The event spaces, which include a ballroom and state-of-the-art meeting rooms, have been redesigned to accommodate various functions such as corporate meetings, expos, fundraising events, and university gatherings.
As part of the renovation, the hotel has launched Blazer’s Grill, a new restaurant led by Executive Chef Bryan Williams. The restaurant focuses on regional cuisine and aims to serve students, alumni, and visitors to Birmingham.
The hotel is situated two blocks from UAB Hospital and the Kirklin Clinic. It offers amenities such as an outdoor pool, a 24-hour fitness center, a grab-and-go market, free WiFi, a coffee shop, and pet-friendly options. Additionally, the hotel provides free shuttle service within a one-mile radius and to Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport.
To mark the completion of the renovation, Hilton Birmingham at UAB is offering Hilton Honors Bonus Points and special meeting planner perks for events booked in Birmingham through December 31, 2025.
