Fairfield by Marriott has reached a total of 150 open and pipeline hotels in Greater China, marking significant growth in the region’s select service segment. This development was announced during an event in Hangzhou attended by Marriott International executives.

Since its introduction to Greater China in 2017, Fairfield by Marriott has expanded to over 50 destinations in the region. The brand has experienced rapid growth, with a more than 50% increase in its hotel count since 2024. Currently, over 50 additional hotels are expected to open within the next two years.

The brand’s expansion strategy focuses on key transportation hubs, emerging urban districts, and leisure destinations. Recent expansions include locations in Yangshuo (Guangxi), Xinzhou (Shanxi), and Qiandao Lake (Hangzhou).

To support its growth, Fairfield by Marriott has introduced a comprehensive product upgrade in Greater China. This includes a new Chinese name and a refreshed product design aimed at meeting the evolving needs of the Chinese market. The upgrades focus on four core travel needs: working, sleeping, bathing, and service. The enhancements are designed to improve owner value through efficient construction and streamlined operations.

Globally, Fairfield by Marriott operates over 1,350 hotels in 20 countries and territories, with more than 460 additional hotels in development. This expansion solidifies Fairfield by Marriott’s position as Marriott’s largest brand worldwide by combined open and pipeline hotels.

The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
