Birmingham’s Cube Hotel hits the market for £7.2m

The Cube Hotel in Birmingham has been brought to market with a guide price of £7.2m.

The four-star unbranded hotel features 52 en-suite bedrooms alongside a Marco Pierre White franchise restaurant, cocktail lounge and terrace with panoramic views of Birmingham city centre.

It occupies four floors of the Cube, an “iconic” 25-storey canalside development and premier retail and leisure destination in the city.

The Cube Hotel is well-positioned in Birmingham’s waterfront district near a range of retail, commercial and cultural amenities. The adjacent Mailbox is one of the UK’s largest mixed-use destinations outside London, comprising a premium shopping hub, Grade A offices and extensive dining options across 18 restaurants and bars.

Birmingham’s theatre district and renowned entertainment venues, including the Symphony Hall and Utilita Arena, are also within walking distance from the hotel, while nearby Birmingham New Street, Snow Hill and Moor Street stations provide nationwide rail access and direct services to Birmingham International Airport and the NEC, the UK’s largest exhibition centre.

The sale is being handled by Knight Frank on behalf of joint administrators Richard Easterby and Nick Simmonds of Quantuma Advisory Ltd.

Matthew Smith, partner at Knight Frank, said: “Birmingham continues to perform as an important leisure and economic hub, contributing to consistent levels of visitor traffic and hotel demand.

“This is a superb opportunity to acquire a prime hotel and restaurant in Birmingham’s vibrant city centre, while the potential to rebrand the hotel element of the business opens a wealth of possibilities for future owners. We are delighted to be advising Quantuma Advisory Limited on this sale and look forward to engaging with interested parties.”

The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
