Real estate and investment company BH Group has acquired a further five hotels from operator Coast and Country for an undisclosed amount.
The deal included the Windermere Hotel in Cumbria; the Burlington Hotel in Eastbourne; the Imperial Hotel in Exmouth; and the St Ives Bay Hotel and Ship and Castle Hotel, both in Cornwall.
James Routledge, chief investment officer of BH Group, said: “These hotels form the basis of our drive into the growing staycation market. We are excited by these opportunities and others we are currently seeing in the market.”
Jeremy Jones, director and head of hotel brokerage at Christie and Co, who handled the sale, added: “This latest transaction takes us to a total of 31 successfully completed Coast and Country sales to a wide range of buyers.
“BH Group pursued these hotels with vigour and we are delighted to have reached this successful outcome. We know they have very exciting plans for these hotels.”
