Auberge names managing director for new Mayfair hotel

Auberge Resorts Collection has appointed Etienne Haro as managing director of Cambridge House, the group’s forthcoming luxury hotel in Mayfair, London.

Haro, a French national, brings extensive international experience in high-end hospitality and will lead all operations at the 102-room property, set to open in spring 2026. The hotel, Auberge’s first in London, is being developed in partnership with Reuben Brothers and is located at 94 Piccadilly in the former In and Out Club.

Haro most recently served as general manager of The Mark Hotel in New York City. His previous roles include senior positions at the Burj Al Arab in Dubai and La Mamounia in Marrakech, which was named Best Hotel in the World by Condé Nast Traveler in 2021.

Cambridge House will feature a destination restaurant, several bars and lounges, a members’ club and a double-level Auberge spa with hydrotherapy facilities and a swimming pool. The restored Georgian mansion has hosted royalty and political leaders since the 18th Century and aims to re-establish itself as a centrepiece of Mayfair’s social scene.

Mo Elbanna, executive vice president for global operations at Auberge Resorts Collection, said: “With a distinguished career spanning some of the world’s most renowned hotels, Etienne brings not only deep global expertise, but also an intuitive, guest-centric approach to leadership. His commitment to excellence and establishing Cambridge House as a vibrant part of the city’s cultural landscape and social fabric makes him the perfect fit to lead Auberge’s newest chapter in London.”

Haro added: “It is an immense honour to be appointed as managing director of Cambridge House and lead this significant landmark into its next chapter, turning a storied home of great pedigree into a wonderful ground for distinctive experiences.

“What Reuben Brothers have envisioned is fascinating, and with the deep sense of purpose of Auberge Resorts Collection, it will become a catalyst for creativity, connection and lasting memories.”

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
