MGallery has signed agreements to add Madarao Kogen Hotel and Lime Resort Myoko in Japan, with openings expected in late 2027 and winter 2026, respectively.
MGallery, a brand under Accor, has announced the signing of agreements to open two new properties in Japan’s Nagano Prefecture. The two resorts, Madarao Kogen Hotel and Lime Resort Myoko, are part of a strategic partnership with Patience Capital Group. The partnership aims to enhance tourism in the region by transforming the existing properties into modern resorts under the MGallery Collection.
The Madarao Kogen Hotel, located in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture at Mt. Madarao, will undergo a comprehensive renovation. The project is expected to be completed by late 2027. Once reopened, the hotel will feature 80 guest rooms, including standard, deluxe, and suite options. The design will incorporate elements of Alpine-style comfort and Japanese minimalism. Planned amenities include multiple dining options, a lobby lounge, a pool bar, conference facilities, hot springs, onsen baths, and ski rental services.
Lime Resort Myoko, situated near the base of Mt. Myoko within Myoko-Togakushi Renzan National Park, will be transformed into a wellness-focused resort. This property is expected to open by winter 2026 and will offer 38 rooms. The resort will provide dining options, a lounge café and bar, onsen facilities, a fitness area, and a kids club.
Both resorts will be connected by a dedicated shuttle service, facilitating guest mobility and linking the properties to other leisure assets in the region managed by Patience Capital Group, including Myoko Suginohara Ski Resort and Nagano Dunes Golf Club. The resorts are approximately a 3-hour drive or a 2-hour train ride from Tokyo, making them accessible to both domestic and international travelers.
The renovations at both sites will prioritize sustainability, incorporating local materials and energy-efficient technologies. The strategic partnership aims to position Myoko and Madarao as a premier four-season mountain destination, catering to both winter sports enthusiasts and visitors seeking year-round activities such as hiking, cycling, and forest bathing.
These projects mark the second and third MGallery addresses in Japan, following the opening of Hôtel Sosei Sapporo in 2024.
