Doubletree by Hilton Manchester Piccadilly has appointed Alistair Campbell as its new general manager.
Campbell joins the hotel with almost 30 years of industry experience, having most recently served as general manager at The Queens Hotel in Leeds.
The Glasgow-born general manager has lived in Manchester for 12 years. He previously led the Park Inn by Radisson Manchester City Centre and Radisson Blu Manchester Airport. Campbell returns to the Hilton brand following earlier roles held in Scotland.
The hotel is owned by ProsperCap and operated by Valor Hospitality. The management company currently maintains a portfolio of 40 hotels across the UK.
In his new role, Campbell will work with the leadership team to manage guest satisfaction and financial performance.
Campbell said: “At this point in my career, my next role was really important to me. I knew I had to be working with the right company that invests in its people. I’m happy to say I have found that with Valor. It has a great reputation within the industry, and I can certainly see why.
“Opportunities to become general manager of a hotel like DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Piccadilly are rare. As a key player in the city centre, the hotel is perfectly located and renowned for delivering outstanding guest experiences.”
