McKeever Hotels is commemorating 40 years in hospitality with a year-long programme highlighting its achievements.
The group, founded in 1986 with the purchase of Corr’s Corner in Newtownabbey, now operates seven hotels and employs 600 people across Ireland.
The anniversary coincides with the introduction of a new five-year strategic plan. According to McKeever, the group will prioritise investment, estate expansion, and sustainability through 2031.
The celebratory programme for 2026 includes a gala dinner, staff volunteering initiatives, and special promotions.
The group has also released a video detailing its history and is requesting customers share photographs and stories for a McKeever Memory Lane archive.
Robin Swann, MP for South Antrim, has submitted an Early Day Motion to the House of Commons to formally record the company’s 40-year milestone.
The business was founded by Eugene and Catherine McKeever and is currently led by their children, Eddie and Bridgene McKeever.
Eugene McKeever said: “We’re always focused on the future and how we build and develop our business model, but we can’t do so without reflecting on our past. This milestone simply wouldn’t have been achieved without the dedication and commitment of our team, as well as the trust and support of our guests, partners and the communities where we are based.
“2026 is the perfect opportunity to take a breath and recognise all who have helped us reach our goals so far. But it is also an important pivot, bolstering our ambitions and shaping our forward direction.”
Catherine McKeever, chair of community and social engagement, added: “Our hotels are all about people, community and connections. We support people on some of the most important days of their lives, from weddings and christenings to anniversaries and funerals. Our 40th creates the opportunity to ensure our local communities continue to be involved in our celebrations.”

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
