The Imperial Hotel Blackpool has announced the appointment of Sacha Cauwels-Wigan as its new general manager.
The Dutch national joins the property with more than 32 years of experience in the international hospitality sector.
Cauwels–Wigan began her career in family-owned restaurants before moving into hotel operations and event management. She previously held senior leadership roles with Sheraton Hotels and Resorts across the UK, Africa and the Middle East.
In her new role, she will oversee the daily operations of the 19th Century property. Cauwels-Wigan’s remit will include managing the hotel’s heritage assets and its transition toward a family-oriented destination model.
The hotel is currently expanding its facilities to include themed bedrooms and all-inclusive packages. These developments complement existing amenities such as an indoor soft play area, a cinema room and an arcade.
Cauwels–Wigan said: “The Imperial Blackpool has incredible history and heritage. It needs care, attention and love – and I’m excited to work closely with the team and the wider Blackpool community to create authentic, fun and genuine experiences for our guests.”
