Thainstone House has announced plans to invest £150,000 in the refurbishment of its gym facilities at the four-star country house hotel in Inverurie.
The hotel, which forms part of the Crerar Hotels Group, said the upgrade is aimed at improving the fitness offering for both members and hotel guests. The refurbished gym is expected to reopen fully in April.
The investment will include the installation of around 30 new pieces of fitness equipment, covering cardio, strength and functional training.
Thainstone House said the strength and free-weights area would be significantly expanded in response to rising demand from members.
As part of the project, the gym’s reception area will also be refurbished, with upgraded amenities intended to improve the overall experience for users.
The gym will continue to offer a programme of fitness classes, alongside access to its existing 13-metre swimming pool and outdoor thermal facilities.
The refurbishment forms part of a broader focus on leisure and wellness facilities across the Crerar Hotels portfolio, as operators seek to attract both local members and overnight guests.
