Kensington Hideaway has appointed Rohit Bisht as general manager ahead of the hotel’s reopening later this month.
The Kensington hotel, formerly known as the Seraphine Kensington, has undergone a multi-million-pound refurbishment and will reopen at the end of January as a 59-room property. It is part of the JMK Group portfolio.
Bisht joins from The Dixon, part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, where he worked for four years, most recently as hotel manager. Earlier in his career, he worked at Taj Hotels.
In his new role, Bisht will oversee the hotel’s pre-opening phase and its operations following the reopening, including staffing and day-to-day management.
The hotel has been redesigned with a literary theme, with references to writers including Agatha Christie, T S Eliot, P L Travers and William Makepeace Thackeray.
The hotel is scheduled to begin welcoming guests following a soft launch at the end of January.
