Minor Hotels has announced the signing of a new Anantara property to be developed in Ushuaia, Argentina. The Anantara Ushuaia Patagonia Resort is scheduled to open in early 2028. The resort will be located in Ushuaia, known as the southernmost city in the world, situated where the Andes Mountains meet the Beagle Channel.
The resort will be part of the Costa Susana master plan, positioned near Tierra del Fuego National Park. It will feature 60 guest rooms and suites, a spa and wellness center, dining options, and meeting facilities. The development is notable for its participation in the World Architecture Festival’s Landscape and Environment category, marking Argentina’s first nomination, and is recognized as the country’s first carbon-neutral real estate project.
The hotel management agreement is with Fideicomiso Urbanización Monte Susana, an Argentine development group with experience in real estate projects in the Ushuaia and Tierra del Fuego region. The resort is located a short distance from Ushuaia International Airport, which offers direct flights to Buenos Aires and other domestic locations.
