WestJet has entered into an interline agreement with Copa Airlines, enabling expanded travel options across 37 destinations in Central and South America.
WestJet announced a new interline partnership with Copa Airlines, designed to enhance connectivity across both airlines’ networks. This agreement allows WestJet passengers to travel beyond Panama City, a newly announced destination, with access to 37 destinations served by Copa Airlines across Central and South America. Conversely, Copa Airlines passengers will gain access to WestJet’s North American network.
The agreement follows WestJet’s announcement of a new service between Calgary and Panama City, set to commence on December 13, 2025. This route will operate four times weekly during the winter season. The Calgary-Panama City route connects WestJet’s hub in Calgary with Copa Airlines’ hub in Panama City, offering new travel options for both business and leisure travelers.
Under the interline agreement, travelers can book a single ticket that includes flights from both WestJet and Copa Airlines, with the convenience of single-point check-in and through-checked baggage. Tickets will be available through travel agents and third-party ticket sales platforms.
The destinations accessible through this partnership include major cities in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and other countries in the region. Specific destinations include Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Bogota, and Lima, among others.
