The Highfield, a five-star country house hotel in Driffield, East Yorkshire, has launched its latest offering, The Quarters Penthouse.
Located on the top floor of the property and accessed via a private entrance, the new suite has been designed by property owners Andy and Lindsey Lampard.
The Highfield, which sits within eight acres of gardens and parkland in the Yorkshire Wolds, has described the penthouse as its “most exclusive” accommodation to date.
Previously the servants’ quarters, the redesigned space reflects what the Lampard’s call “merchant luxury” – a concept rooted in sustainability, local craftsmanship and heritage.
The interiors blend restored antiques and upcycled furnishings with newer pieces, while decorative details include charred timber walls – made using the Shou Sugi Ban technique – and fabrics woven from estate-sourced timber.
The penthouse also features Artwork by Andy Lampard, which reinterprets portraits of local tradespeople including beekeepers and butchers.
Facilities include a private lounge with record player and vinyl collection, a games room, and a super king bedroom with a Harris Spinks mattress and Richard Haworth linens.
Additionally, the bathroom features a roll-top bath, rain shower and Bramley products.
Guests can also access rooftop views over the gardens, and an additional space, The Quarter Loft, is available for families. The property is dog-friendly.
Andy Lampard, managing director of The Highfield, said: “The Quarters Penthouse is our way of telling the story of this house – its working past, its transformation, and its place in today’s world.
